About Us

Christopher Holder

Founder and Chief Technical Officer, Christopher Holder, started his career in emergency medicine. He soon discovered that his love of helping people combined well with his technical mind-set and entered into the field of Information Technology.

Chris began studying and growing in his technical skills with strong focus on Microsoft network environments, but found that he was unable to find satisfaction in the role of technician. He quickly became a Call-Center Supervisor for a phone support outsource company, focused on motivating and encouraging employees, providing new product knowledge and training, and helping other technicians improve their customer service and technical skills.

He later worked for a large mutual funds investment company, overseeing support for financial, legal, marketing, and human resource departments. Chris also served as Project Manager for several large projects, including the creation and testing of disaster recovery procedures with multiple off-site locations.

Eventually, the challenge of building long-term personal relationships within the large organizational structure lead Chris to small business. He became the Director of Technology for a small software consulting firm and began building relationships with the small to medium sized business owners that the company supported. He then built a successful network services practice to serve those clients, who he often found to need far greater networking knowledge and relational skills than they had been receiving from other vendors.

Following a series of acquisitions and a change in corporate focus, Chris decided it was time to start his own company, with the focus and attention he has come to enjoy: helping small to medium sized businesses succeed. Thus, with a great deal of thought and planning (not to mention a few well-timed pushes in the right direction from family and colleagues), H I T Solutions was born.
